Virtual Screening to Benefit 4 Sanctuaries

I am soooo excited to unveil our latest project to use THE LAST PIG for good! Our Virtual Streaming Benefit will raise funds and awareness for four amazing sanctuaries dedicated to helping pigs in need: Catskill Animal Sanctuary, Central Texas Pig Rescue, Hog Haven Farm, and The Pig Preserve!

THE LAST PIG isn’t yet available to the public, but we want to help our pig friends (and their sanctuaries), SO we’re offering a a special sneak peek.

A Video Invitation from me (Allison)!

I've just shot a short video explaining how our Virtual Screening Benefit works. We're only charging $5/ticket to make it accessible to all - but we're trusting that folks will be inspired to give more! All profits will go directly to the sanctuaries (and a very small portion to THE LAST PIG). With the purchase of a ticket, you'll also see a new little sanctuary video I'm creating - AND you can join a live discussion with myself and the four fabulous sanctuary directors on Dec. 4 at 7pm EST! Woohoo!!

PBS!!!

I want to thank those dear supporters who've donated to our PBS push. THE LAST PIG is headed for PBS this spring, and with an expected reach of 2-3 million viewers, this is an enormous opportunity! A small portion of the proceeds from our  Virtual Screening Benefit will help fund our PBS effort. Please buy a ticket (or 5!), help spread the word, and donate to support our sanctuary friends!! TIX !!

"As someone interested in creativity and presentation tools, I recently came across Havi AI, and it looks like a promising platform for creating visualisations and slides quickly using AI. Tools like this are becoming really valuable for turning ideas into clear presentations without spending hours designing.

Has anyone here tried using AI tools for building presentations or visual storytelling? I’d be curious to hear how they compare with traditional slide-creation workflows."

I found it really interesting how the virtual screening is supporting multiple sanctuaries at once, especially since it shows how digital events can have a real-world impact on animal welfare. The idea of connecting viewers from all over to contribute to something tangible made me wonder how much of a difference attendance numbers actually make for these organizations.

It also made me think about how easy it is to get distracted while trying to support causes online—watching a film, reading about the sanctuaries, and still juggling other responsibilities. I’ve definitely caught myself in situations where I’m multitasking and half-jokingly thinking “do my assignment for me” while trying to be engaged, which makes me appreciate how immersive virtual events need to…

I just read about the virtual screening event to benefit those four sanctuaries and it’s such a thoughtful idea it’s great to see people using creative ways to help animals in need. I’m working on a project about community support and event planning, and sometimes I struggle to put my ideas together clearly in writing. That’s why I needed some Help with Assignment because organizing everything and making it easy to understand hasn’t always been simple for me. This article gave good examples and inspiration that I could use in my own work, and it definitely helped me think about how to explain these kinds of events better in my assignment.

MovieBox is honestly one of the better movie platforms I’ve come across. Simple, organised, and actually useful.
